Wilwood caliper ear thickness
For those with Wilwood FSL calipers, how thick are the ears? The spec sheet pdf gives dimensions from the outside (towards the rotor) of the ear to the rotor centerline, but not from the inside (where the caliper gets mounted to the bracket). Thanks!
Edit - I just called Wilwood when they opened, and the ear thickness is .700" for the forged billet superlite (FSL), Superlite 4 (SL4) and Superlite 6 (SL6) calipers. The difference between the $165 FSL calipers and the $300 lug mount SL4's is just the differential bore piston sizes (1.88 & 1.75 vs 1.75x2 for the FSL), according to the Wilwood tech, which doesn't jive with their website. The SL4 & SL6 also have four bolts strengthening the caliper, in addition to just the 1 bridge bolt on the FSL.

Re: Wilwood caliper ear thickness
Wilwood also said .700"... I did the CAD models for the brackets based on this thickness, and when I received the calipers and measured, it turns out that the ears are actually .625" thick. Maybe there's a difference between the 4 piston FSL's and the 4/6 piston differential bore superlights. Oh well...

Re: Wilwood caliper ear thickness
I promise you my radial mount brackets have ear tab widths of .700. I still have that dimension written down from when I physically measured them myself with a digital caliper. Thats why I opted to leave mt secondary brackets I had custom made the same .700 thockness and aluminum to match Wilwoods own bracket material and thickness. I also had mine ceramic coated for heat dissapation so they would be less likely to absorb heat and expand causing loose bolts- i also safety wire everything.
