I really want to upgrade to LT1 brakes, but its not in the budget. I was wondering if this Stainless Steel Brake Corp setup was any good. For $189 from summit you get 2 slotted rotors and pads.

I have rebuilt the suspension w/ Poly bushings, new ball joints, all new steering parts, and have stainless flex hoses.
In essence, I am trying to be cheap. The car will only be used for regular driving/spirited handling when possible. It will not be a daily driver. I will not be going warp speed on the highways. Will this suffice?

Why do you want LT1 brakes? They are no better that what you already have up front. Upgrade to HPS pads and slotted rotors and you'll be fine for a budget setup.

They won't bolt on anyway, caliper is different and the rotors are slide on.

I meant LS1 brakes. Oh well, my typo! I guess LT1 is a engine.

Yes because you're slapping yourself on the head wondering "Why? Why?"
Go with the pads and rotors.
