why does it say it is for 87-92 only. isnt it all the same from 82-92. i want to buy it for my 86 so i dont have to deal with the bs of cutting and flaring lines. will it bolt right on to my 86?

 

i asked the same question a while ago and was told it would fit on my 86 iroc. someone else here told me that so im sure someone will chime in and tell you. i havent gotten one yet and tried to put it on but will someday....lol

 

I have the SLP line lock on my 86 T/A. Great fit. Easiest bolt on I ever did.

 

so why does it say 87-92 when it fits all? i cant be the first person that has seen this. so it will definatly fit my 86z28? any pics of this installed?

 

Now let me tell you what SLP told me,I have the SLP line lock on my 1989 GTA.They said(quote) it will fit many different years,some early fbodys had brake lines bent different than the 1987 to 1992 cars,so they decided since they developed it for 1987 to 1992 cars,it was a direct BOLT ON Also ,it will fit the 1982 to 1986 cars,they just havent done as many of them as the 1987 to 1992 cars.
Just rember,the 1982 to 1986 cars may or may not have different bends in the brake lines next to the master cylinder!!!!

 

I'm putting a rear disc posi in my car that will probably be from a 87 bird so when I put the 87 birds master cylinder on my car the SLP kit will deffently bolt right up... RIGHT?

if I get my rearend from a forthgen and use the master cylinder from the 87 bird all will still be fine...Right Again?

 

the linelock kit will replace the line closest to the power booster(the rear line) that goes from the master cylinder to the prop valve. thats it! it doesnt matter what rear you put in or anything as long as it will thread into the master and the prop valve.
