LS1 brakes for under $700
does anyone else do LS1 brakes for under 700 bucks? I know big brake upgrade.com does. just seeing who has the best price. seems there is alot of kits but no upfront prices right on the board.
Re: LS1 brakes for under $700
$700! I bought my calipers and carrier brackets for the front for $100. I made my own brackets and had a friend with a lathe cut down my rotors. Add in new wheel bearings, some paint, and I have about $150 in the whole swap. I bought a 4th gen rear axle with a 3.42 Auburn and LS1 brakes for $250. That puts me at about $400 total for both ends.

If you are looking to buy everything and buy it all new, then you are gonna be pushing it. Bigbrakeupgrade's spindle, hub, bracket package is 305. Comes with everything you'll need for the conversion besides the calipers and rotors.
Calipers are like 40 a piece at autozone, add another ~40 for pads, and you can get the stock hoses that are longer...i think they are the 1LE. They were fairly cheap...I dont remember how much. Then rotors will soak ya a bit. Around 45 a piece. Those prices are just all from autozone's website.
There are odds and ends you might need along the way. You can get things cheaper if you go with used parts... And I THINK if you can get ahold of Ed on here, ebmiller, he might be able to hook you up with everything. But Im not sure... maybe he'll chime in or PM ya.
Good luck..you'll love the upgrade! Make sure you do the rears next if you dont have discs already....Such an improvement.

for all new, that about right.
if you spend some time and surf the classifieds and ebay you can get lucky and piece together a set for less. I built my c5's for less than 700 bux

Re: LS1 brakes for under $700
It will depend on what parts you can locate or make yourself, and be sure to shop around. For example, my LS1 setups come standard with braided lines and ceramic pads, others do not and will cost you extra.
PM me and I'll do the best I can and can probably come in right at or below that price with a few changes to my standard setup. LMK, glad to help.

Re: LS1 brakes for under $700
well yes for new figured it was an okay price. used I'm kinda worried about calipers and such. maybe getting the whole floating hub spindle set up then piecing it from there would be cheapest. i figure the whole hub spindle setup at 305 plus slotted rotors, used calipers, 1LE brake lines and ceramic pads should be below 700 bux. and thanks ED i know you have top of the line products but your prices are not as competitive. then again no one else is as easy to work with or has a C4HD setup.

I do my best for you guys, thanks for the compliment.
When pricing your parts dont' forget the spindle core charge and shipping charges, I'll still come in lower. And if you add bearings to that price it's even higher. My brackets and hubs are zinc coated as well. Again, make sure you know what you get and for what price and shop around. Add all that in and see what you come up with, and you know where to find me.

Re: LS1 brakes for under $700
Im going to vouch for ed here. I already had calipers, brembo rotors, pbr pads etc from a '00 t/a parts car. I made up my own hub's at work, then bought brackets & Stud's from ed.
The parts arrrived this morning and i must say their top knotch quality. Brackets are amazing quality, the look nice, and the stud's are perfect!
Thanks ed!

Good to hear they got there safely, enjoy and let me know if you have any issues/questions during your install.
