brake line overhaul

i have made several posts recently. i have yet another quandary. i want to replace my whole brake line assembly, and i want to stay with the current size lines i have on there. however, the lines are so rusted its hard to tell what size they exactly are. is there anywhere or does anyone know if it specifically calls for one size or can i just use whatever i want. any help would be great. thanks

1/4" in the back? Not sure i keep reading some sizes are metric but not positive. My rear brake line that i'm tooling with right now may be metric but i very easily just put a 1/4" fitting over it and it's very tight. A private message to ebmiller might get you the results your looking for.

Re: brake line overhaul

I replaced the hard lines on a rear axle I swapped onto the car with some I ordered from Inline Tubes. They were prebent and came with the fittings and the "spring" tubing wrapped around it, just like stock. In order to not get a complete car set, I had to call and specify what I needed.

+1 on inline tubes, take out the old put in the new. they are a little pricey but i think worth the extra cost. also i went stainless steel, if u buy all the lines in their kit its an extra $20 over the oem, higher tensile strength too!
