BRAKE PAD ADVICE NEEDED
While I do know that a full brake upgrade is the best way to go, I am plannign on changing my wheels at some point soonish, so I want to do something in the mean time to improve the braking of my 88 GTA. I have heard that upgradeing the pads can make a big difference to the bite and fade-resistance in these cars, so what are people using? What's good, and what's not? I have heard good and bad about EBC red and green stuff and mintex pads, who has used these and what are they like? What else is good, bendex ultimates?

+1 HPS. I run EBC on my Iroc and they grab like crazy but dust like mad. Good on performance, bad for looks.

Re: BRAKE PAD ADVICE NEEDED
I have only had my Hawks HP+ pads on the rear for a week, and am very impressed. I wasn't going to upgrade the fronts until later this fall, but will have to do it much sooner. We had a snow storm hit last night, and the overpass was iced over. I hit my brakes and went all the way around (facing the wrong way). They grab very well. I will need to get some for the front so that this doesn't happen again. I also locked them up later just to test, and on dry pavement the rear locked up first. I only did the rear because I just put a new axle in it.

OK, I hadn't really thought about hawks, and they are a lot cheaper, but do they really work as well as the others? I am not really concerned with the price, even the dust doesn't really worry me as I wash my car every week, but if they work as good then that's what I will go with.

Re: BRAKE PAD ADVICE NEEDED
Where does everyone order their Hawks Pads from? I just bought mine from Summit, and they were like $67 for the rear pads. I needed them fast, so I didn't spend time shopping around. Is there anywhere else to order them for less? /hijack...
