Having leaks, need to fix asap, please help

I got the Earls hyperfirm kit and where the brake lines go into the T fitting for the real brakes is leaking a lot [20$ flaring kit, does not work!]

So im going to order some of this-
http://www.jegs.com/p/Earl%27s/749428/10002/-1/10143

I need to know what fittings I need for the ends of the new brake lines so I can order this and get my car drivable. I couldent find anywhere what size the stock brake fittings are.

I just did this fix, i put in my new rear end and it was leaking at the t valve, had to cut the lines about 5 inches away and bent and flare new lines and tighten them down real tight, thats why they leak, you gotta keep going tighter and tighter without stripping them, a flare nut wrench is your friend with brake lines. as for the sizes of fittings, at pep boys i went and bought the 3/16 fittings. Are those what your referring to? The factory brake lines were 3/16.

The flare kit I have does a terrible job and I dont feel like going out and buying a nicer one.

Im referring to the actual nut? the actual thing that screws into the T fittting.

I already ordered the line, so I guess I need to search for a -03 to 3/16th adapter?

Well the brake lines are 3/16, and if your flare kit is bad, try renting one from autozone you get your money back, its the one i used and it worked great. But Braided lines are the way to go so if your got the money go for it. Your just trying to figure out what size fitting goes into the t valve correct?

Correct, I already ordered the line, so I just need 4 adapter fittings -03 to whatever size the factory stuff is.

I called Jegs and canceled the Earls line.
The adapters I need is too complex to figure out and expensive.

I think im just going to get line from www.finelinesinc.com, but I have no idea what part number I need and they dont have pictures so I cant tell if they come with everything I need.

Re: Having leaks, need to fix asap, please help

Your car will have all metric fittings, no standard sizes. I take it you are doing rear discs but what style are they, the older ones or the '89-92 rear discs?

These are the part numbers you need:
Early style iron calipers: FRA8602OM
late style PBR aluminum rear discs (including '93-97 rear discs): FRA8901OM

This will get you fixed up.

Re: Having leaks, need to fix asap, please help

Im doing a full LS1 rear end with LS1 brakes, from a 2001.

I ordered -
FRA8401SS
FRA8901OM

Those two, they have like no description or pictures on their site, so I picked 2 that seemed like maybe what I needed.

Even with the LS1 discs the calipers and lines will bolt up the same. They 8901OM lines are correct for you, enjoy the hassle free install. I use Fine Lines all the time.
