LS1 brakes on a lowered car

I talked to Ed Miller the other day regarding an LS1/C5 brake upgrade and he mentioned that the conversion will increase the track on the car by .300 of inch on each side. I am going to do a drop on my car by about 1.5 inchs and was wondering if anyone has had any clearance problems with the change in specs on width on a lowered car with the LS1 or C5 brake kits. I am running a 17X8 IROC with 255/40/17 tires.

Also, is the .300 change noticable in appearance? Does it look funny at all?

Thanks

what backspacing are you wheels?

im using the c5 brakes, with 18x8's with 4.5" of bs and have no issues whatsoever.

.300 is a third of an inch, you probably wont even notice it.

Offset is 0mm,
4.50" backspacing, it sounds like you have the same backspacing as my wheels, are you lowered at all?

Thanks

Ok cool, I think will go ahead and do the C5 upgrade now that I have some confindence that I will not have a problem once I lower the car. A lowered just looks so good

Thanks again,
