broken brake line

I was doing the rear brakes on my 1985 Trans Am today when the caliper slipped down on the driver side and snapped the old hard brake line. The piece that threads into the caliper is not very long and i am not sure what to do now. Is this an easy line to get from most parts stores? I would like to get this done soon as i need the car. Thanks, and ill try to get pictures if i can. I did a quick search on the boards and did not see anything obvious. Thanks again

I "believe" the following from FineLines is what you need. The first is stainless, the second OE:

http://www.finelinesinc.com/catalog/...oducts_id=2998

http://www.finelinesinc.com/catalog/...oducts_id=2997

Not that I know of.

Re: broken brake line

I have 4 wheel disc brakes, with hard line on the driver side i know. I have not looked into the pass. side, is there a flex line or anything i can replace it with? It has a (pressure fittting?) where it was broken beofre me. That the line was flanged then spliced together. Is there anything i can do to get the car back on the road without ordering online?

Oops, my bad--how in the world did I come up with drums! FineLines has what you need. Yes, you'll have a flex line on the pass side.

I'm not sure what kind of BandAid you could make that you get you back on the road.
