blead brakes lines, still spony brakes!!!!
to the point.....i bought new brake hose for the driver and pass. side front. old ones where in bad shape. also bought new calipers for the fronts. broke bleeder valves off on old calipers. lol, i was pissed. changed everything out and blead the front brakes. put tires back on and test drove it. still spongy brakes. as soon as i apply the brakes, i get a hissing noise. it only last a second or two. theres alot of travel in the brake pedal also. it goes about half way and then grabs. i havent blead the back brakes. i blead pass. side first then driver side and then pass. side again and then driver side again. there is no air in the front brake lines. any ideas??? rotors and brake pads are like new.

Mine does the same, I had bled my system by the book and still get this. Did all 4 when doing my steel braided lines. Cant tell if its norm or not never really payed attention till i did all the work

The brakes have been messing with me as well. I usually start at the passenger rear then driver rear, passenger front and driver front. Sunday I was bleeding the front passenger side and when I closed the bleeder air was still going through the line. Changed the bleeder and same deal. Time for new calipers for the front so we called Autozone and they got them for 10 bucks but with no pads. Works for me.
Are you reusing the crush washers on the banjo bolts? New ones usually come with new hoses and calipers. Is the hose end mounted properly at the caliper? The curved side mounts to the caliper allowing the hose to bend. I installed one up side down and it leaked there too.

i used the crush washers that came with the new hose. the hose is mounted properly. i tried at first to install the new hose to the caliper while the caliper was still mounted. that was a bitch and a half. so i took the caliper off and then mounted the hose and reinstalled everything. i checked for leaks at all the connections and everything was fine. i'm thinking i have to bleed the back brakes, but since I've owned the car for about 3 months, i haven't pulled the back tires off at all.

I bleed mine forever as well. The swooshing noise on mine came from the M/C. You could see it when you applied the brake if you where looking at you reservior with the lid off it would kick the fluid all the way up the windshield. it seemed to be bypassing to much fluid. It turned out to be a weak M/C on mine. So change M/C and its all good. after more bleeding of course.
