how long till you have a 5th gen f-body brake swap available? i know this is fast with the release just a few months ago, but i saw a rs/ss yesterday and the brake setup was just killer. i know your the leader in helping everyone with brakes.

Seriously? Wow...

At least it looks easy to bleed the brakes

Oddly enough, I was just looking for ebmillers name to PM him about these calipers. I just ordered a set. Should be here next week. Thinking about swapping out my c6 z06's. Can't beat the price of these brembos @ ~$100 per caliper they're cheap!

You sure you're not thinking of the ZR1 with the carbon rotors? Even still, those are ~$1700 retail.

From what I understand GM has already updated the part numbers on these brembos. However, to hear the noise I would've had to mount the calipers in the exact same fashion; clocking, distance, offset from spindle etc to get that exact resonance. Even then, with a hipo pad you're asking to get squealing. Doesn't bother me in the least.

Re: attn eb miller, how long til?

I can assume I'll get to it eventually but for right now they're still too new to mess with and I dont' think I'll just go buy a set to play with. I still haven't seen the car up close but when I do you can bet I'll have a camera with me and see what they look like. Until then, on to finish the rear LS1 cables and C5 rear swap!

Re: attn eb miller, how long til?

Just bringing this to the top in hopes that Ed has looked at this in more depth. When I upgrade the brakes on my IROC, these are going to be the calipers I choose... and it sure would make my life easier if Ed has a kit by then.

I'm a little out of touch here... has Ed already built an adapter for the CTS calipers?

Yes, he has brackets for both the 13.4" z51 rotor and the 14" z06 rotor.
