91 GTA: problems with e-brake cables

Hi guys,

I’m replacing the e-brake cables of a 91 GTA with rear disc brakes with the the 1st design cables, length 1434 mm.

There is a problem: the cables seem to be too short. Even with the caliper levers pushed away from the discs there is only 25mm free cable length between the guidance on the underbody and the cable ends.
If I try to connect the cables to the equalizer, one of the cables is always slipping out of the guidance on the underbody (see picture attached).

Does anybody have an idea what the problem can be?

You need the second design. Check the following link, post #4:

Thank you for your very fast feedback.

What I've used are the Raybestos BC94264. What Raybestos Part-No do I need? (The best chance to get the right parts here in Germany is the correct manufacturer's part no)...

I checked the following site for a 1991 Pontiac 5.7 GTA and found several 1460 mm lines that will work, to include Raybestos BC94597--please double check for yourself:
