"Thud" sound when applying little preasure to pedal.

I was just heading to work this morning and I started noticing a loud "thud" sound when I just barely tapped on the brake pedal. I kind of sounds like the car is bottoming out, but without the horrible shaking. It also seams to be coming from the rear. Any ideas? I have a rear LS1 brake system, but have yet to change the prop valve. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks guys!

Ok, will do. I also just noticed that when coming to a stop, car still moving, I can hear the rear brake rotor making a sort of rubbing sounds while spinning. I think something is wrong with the caliper, or perhaps, the hardware and pads. Any ideas?

You should take a look at the rotor(s).

See if you notice anything that looks like a metal to metal contact.

Re: "Thud" sound when applying little preasure to pedal.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!! So It got worse while heading back home and when I did get back home, I noticed the front right caliper digging into the rim! Apparently the big bottom bolt that goes through the custom bracket and then threads into the abutment bracket somehow backed out and fell on the freeway somewhere. The damage to the wheel looks bad, but it's nothing a little paint can't fix. THANK GOD MY WHEELS ARE BLACK!!! oh, and my front setup is a GTO/C5 hybrid setup. Lesson learned. I know I torqued those bolts good, too.
