12-13 inch rotors for 87 iroc

Hey guys i was just wondering if theres a caliper bracket out there that would allow me to run a 12-13inch Baer rotor in the rear using the stock calipers from my 87 iroc rear end or any kind of 12-13 inch rotor whatever would fit between the binders would work too. I planned to use a Bear kit in the back(currently using Baer Alcon Pro4 upfront ) but money is tight right now and the stock calipers work fine. If someone has part numbers to refer me to or point me in the right direction i would greatly appreciate it.

Actually i just found that ed sells the brackets to run a 12-13 inch disc in the rear if anyone intends to run that set up. If anyone needs i can post the part numbers. These are with the stock calipers.

keep in mind these are meant to be used along with the 9bolt borg and warner stock rear ends.

Not if you want to use the cast iron calipers, if you want to use the PBR aluminum calipers then yes, it can be done..on a 9 bolt too. Ed Miller has the brackets. I have a 13/12 fr/rr baer system

Re: 12-13 inch rotors for 87 iroc

Ed sells the backing plates for a ten-bolt as well, but again only for use with PBR's (89-97). The Delco-Moraine iron calipers (82-88), as Twin mentions, won't fill the bill. If you should ever wish to upgrade to PBR's, the following link may be useful:

Re: 12-13 inch rotors for 87 iroc

Hmmm the discription for the products isnt very clear.

- 12 inch "Hassle free"rear disc conversion brackets
NEW! These conversion brackets allow a simple bolt on conversion to 12" GM style PBR LT1 rear disc brakes. Installation hardware and instructions are included, removal of the rear axles is required, no axle modification is needed.

Is the only one that mentions using PBR's. But im sure you are both right. i already called Ed to change my order im just waiting for him to call or email me back.

Re: 12-13 inch rotors for 87 iroc

These were the 2 i thought still use the stock caliper since they dont mention the use of PBR's and the other does.
