The front pads are the D749 spec. For a good street pad get the StopTech Street Performance units. CENTRIC Part # 30907490

I think that you'll like them. They will make some strange groaning noises at first, but this goes away once bedded. So be sure to bed them in.

I have that set on the g-body here, but haven't driven it yet.

Yesterday put the same pads on the Camaro with the C4 brakes (different pad format). Much better then the PBR pads that were on it. Good initial bite, good modulation, and a high coefficient of friction.

I'm hoping they'll be a step up from the pads that came with the kit, darn shipping costed me 30 bucks lol.

What do you mean by 'bed' them in?

http://stoptech.com/tech_info/wp_bedincontents.shtml

They have a lot of good brake information in the Technical Information area of their site.

The pads that came with the LS1 kit were not so bad, compared to the stock brakes i had before., which dusted the whole rim within an hour after cleaning. I ordered the stop tech ones and I'll install them as soon as they get here.

I forgot about this thread but the Stop tech pads were a GREAT improvement over what came with the LS1 kit!! Less dust, NO more noise and squeeking, and more importantly, they brake MUCH better! Thanks Rbob!
