Only problem left is brakes any ideas?
Well after a long hard working summer my 83 z28 is back to operable shape with engine work done besides some other upgrades I want to do later but all that aside I still cant get her on the road because of brake problems.
In terms of parts I have replaced the rotors, pads, and calipers on both the front wheels nothing has been done with the back drum brakes. A buddy of mine and I have bleed the system 3 times all the way around atleast in the last couple weeks. When I got the car going It did look like the problem was solved as the brake light went off and they felt good. When we tried to take her around the block they gave out and brake light came back on but I am still able to stop just have to be all the way to the floor to do so. The car does have power brakes I have checked for leaks and I can not see anything. If the car is off I can pump the pedal and it will build pressure and get stiffer but as soon as I put it in gear it is very spongy. I am thinking It is the master cylinder which is only a $20 fix but wanted to get some other opinions first thanks....
