Engine: 355

Transmission: 700r

Axle/Gears: 3.73

parking brake stuck down...

so I'm trying to remove my console out of 84 trans am i just bought monday and i have spent all night trying to remove the console to remove the carpet and the e-brake has me so frustrated.. im assuming the cables are rusted any ideas how i can get it unstuck?
