Parking brake problem

So i dropped new cables in my 85 camaro.. I tightened the nut at the equalizer to take out all the slack. Then when i pull the parking brake. The spring on the left side compresses straight in which the rotor dosent move.. On the right side wheel. The spring is crooked in which the rotor moves.. I took that side off again and took a look to see what was up. And what was weird is that there was only a groove on one side . Un like the left wheel it had 1 groove on each side. So that it goes straight... Does any body know what is up with this sht?
