The big question!
I have a question for you brake guru's out there!
I have a 2003 Nissan Altima that I bought new, during the test drive, the biggest impression I got from the car was the brakes. It has a high pedal with a positive feel, and lots of braking power. It came with ceramic pads from the factory. At it's first brake job, NAPA told me it was supposed to have metallic pads. They sold me metallic premium pads, and the pedal dropped, my rotors warped, pedal effort increased, they were noisy and dusty. I found out NAPA sells the OEM Akibono ceramics that it originally came with, and now the brakes are excellent like they used to be.
So my question is, why does the opposite happen to our f bodies? Is it rotor composition? Small piston calipers? My Nissan has the best of both worlds. great powerful breaks, and quiet low dusting brakes.
