Lt1 rear..what ebrake cable?
I swapped in a 95 lt1 diff 2 yrs ago. The ebrake cables that came with it were cut and patched with clamps to make them work again prior to me buying the diff. But now they are pretty worn/stretched and I have no more adjustment left to get proper ebrake function. My car is a 86 t/a that had the factory 9bolt diff. i want to replace the cables with new ones but from my searches.im unclear which cables to order. Some threads say to order cables for a 90-92 fbody, the original 93-97 cables. i know there are different lengths and cable ends. What is the proper cables to get on a lt1 rear with no tcs? thanks

Re: Lt1 rear..what ebrake cable?
I just put an LT1 rear in my 89 firebird. Here are the part numbers for what I used from Rock Auto
Rear cables 92 Camaro x 2 (ACDELCO18P1104{#18034022}Professional)
Front Cable 89 Firebird x1 (ACDELCO18P327{#18033245}Professional)
Everything fit as it should, I didn't have to modify anything.

Sweet,thanks.
I saw diffferent threads stating that it depends on what style adjuster you would need longer ebrake cables to the calipers. I dont want to order the wrong parts and be stuck sending it all back.

Perfect, thanks.Exactly what i needed to see. Looks like it is the right length with just enough slack. How many clicks upwards does your ebrake handle set at now?

4 clicks and the wheels stop turning. I haven't had the car out of the garage to test on a hill though
