Need some help with rear calipers. I bought a used LS1 rear end, but the caliper rebuild kit I bought has an ID that's too large. I've read that PBR manufactured LS1 calipers as well, but I'm confused about what I have
(pics are posting small, but will enlarge if you click on it)

That oring does not go there. It goes inside the caliper itself. That grove on the piston is where the dust boot seals. The oring will seem like it's to big but you have to work it around to set into the grove the right way.

You are correct, my calipers should have been on the OD of the piston itself, not the OD of the groove. Good catch!

I just went through this a month ago rebuilding my calipers. I got centric kits from rockauto and they were fine. The oring looks to big but like I said you just have to work it around. Don’t forget to put a little brake fluid on it or you will never get the piston back in. And put the dust sleeve on before you try and put the piston in. You will have to stretch the sleeve around the piston but it’s dang near impossible to get the sleeve on after the piston is in.
