So to be clear upfront this is just my take on a Hust line lock install with factory prop valve and NHRA legal, which means installed after prop valve. Maybe this will give ideas and pics to those wanting to do this. All line and tools were used from Fedhill brake lines.
1989 Irocz. So metric 10x1.0. Your car may be the same or different. According to Hurst in the instructions you are to tap one front brake feed and split it to 2 lines. The valve has 4 connections. One inlet and 3 outlets. A call to Hurst and they say you can do it this way by using one inlet and two outlet ports.
Mounting and wiring inside the car is pretty easy, many ways to tap the fuse box for power but the best way I have found is using the American Autowire kit part #500429. Let's you tap the unused ports in the fuse box.
So the button was mounted under the gauge panel and a abs plastic panel was made to fit the ashtray for the light.
Pretty simple and inconspicuous. Next is mounting the line lock.. maybe if not every one drills right into the strut tower and calls it a day. IMHO I dont like the look of it and contemplated mounting it right under the booster in front of the prop valve bracket. Looks like it can't be done or there isn't enough room, challenge accepted, lol. So here is my final iteration mounted with the feed line I just finished. The 2 front will need to be cut and refitted with sae 3/16 and take the m10s off. Most likey will paint it black.
Everything was make by hand with a plate of aluminum and hand finished. Will update when all done. Has been test fitted on car if anyone is wondering and it fits nice and neat.
