Front to Rear Line Replacement

Good evening, has anyone ever replaced the entire section of steel line that runs from the master cylinder to the rear of the car? The steel line is shot right in the middle of the car. There is a company who thankfully makes a complete line front to rear. If anyone has done this before, let me know if there are any tips or tricks to doing this successfully. My vehicle is an 84 Berlinetta V8. Thanks

Re: Front to Rear Line Replacement

I have not done the replacement on my TA, but I have done it to my 1995 GMC truck. If you are going to do this, I recommend using stainless steel lines and use anti-seize on the threads of the fittings.
Unfortunately, I mistakenly ordered another SS whole car kit, so now I have 2 complete kits. I am stuck with the other because shipping costs are a deal breaker unless I can find someone close to me that needs it.

Good call on the stainless lines and anti seize. Sucks about the extra set of lines. I’m nervous to order it and it happens to be wrong for some reason, it seems the lines are secured by locking tabs throughout the car.

Classic Tube or In-Line tube make replacement brake line kits that are not cheaply built. I've used both companies before

Another option is a Nickel/Copper brake line tubing coil, real easy to bend and flare.. unless you can get a pre-made pre-bent piece cheap..

Re: Front to Rear Line Replacement

very true. In fact i switched over to NiCopp (nickle/copper) tube this year when I wanted clean fancy brake lines in the engine bay. It is SUPER EASY to hand form and super easy to flare. I got a 25' roll of it for about $50

actually:

The Pre Made stainless line was $100 CAD shipped. Which after adding the other costs like tools and connections was about $20 more which I don’t mind paying. In everyone’s opinion, does that line look like the correct one?
