Brembo upgrade

Hello I’m putting 2010 ss brembos on my 85 Camaro and I was just wondering what people use for the dust shields front and back? I’m not running a e brake so I just have this exposed bit of the axle shaft and don’t know if that will be a problem later on

Re: Brembo upgrade

Also I got my rear brackets from big brake upgrades they have extra little holes that look similar to the 2010 dust shields but I’m not sure if they would actually fit

Hi Jordan,

Yes the base rear plates have all the correct holes to hold the 5th gen backing plates..there are a few more parts to make them work for a full park brake but they are designed that way so you can add the park brake if you need at a later time, any q`s let me know

Re: Brembo upgrade

Front 3rd gen conversions cannot use any dust shields, we use the original dust shield bolt holes for the adapter bracket. If you want to keep the shield around the grease seal you can cut that out from the stock dust shield leaving the one steering arm mount bolt hole intact..use the one bolt plus applying silicone sealant around the saved dust shield portion around the seal to the spindle where the original rubber gasket sat between the spindle boss and shield. This will keep it in place (once dried) and protect the grease seal in in-climatic weather conditions
