Anyone have trouble with Inline Tube braided brake hoses braking?
I bought a set of braided brake hoses from Inline Tube, and when I was double checking them before I refilled the system with fluid I noticed the rear center hose AN fitting had broken at the rear axle Y-fitting for no apparent reason. The hose was the perfect length for the car, and I was careful not to over-tighten it. Rather than having AN fittings that are solidly crimped to the hoses these hoses have swivel ends that you thread whatever adapter fitting you are using into, making them solid. The swivel looks to be a weak point in this system. Now I'm concerned about the rest of the hoses breaking when I'm out on the road driving. Nothing like your brakes failing and plowing into another car, or driving off a cliff. I'm thinking a hose solidly crimped together braided hose with the right ends in place like the replacement rubber hoses are would be a much better design if such a thing exists in braided stainless steel.
