85 IROC rear disc center brake hose source?
Can't seem to track down a source [or specs] for an affordable replacement for the center brake hose [chassis-to-axle] on my `85 ROC. It's a front/rear disc/disc 'Performance' setup.
Nothing seems to be available for AC Delco, Centric, Dynamic Friction or Raybestos. I've checked all the major parts houses and everything comes up as "unavailable." O'Reilly has hoses listed but not a single one indicates part location on the car. [i.e. left/right, front/rear, center, upper, etc.]
I think there are 'sets' out there, but I already have all the hoses, front and back, except the rear center. I surely don't need to lose an arm and leg for a full high-end set.
If anyone has a viable suggestion, or even the exact specs from which I could have one made up, I would sure appreciate it.
Thanks in advance!
Kevin

AFAIK that hose is the same for discs & drums.
Buy one off of rockauto or something. It's like $15 or so. See if it fits.

Re: 85 IROC rear disc center brake hose source?
What is the performance package they are referencing?
That would be the PBR front brakes, aka 1LE. The rears are exactly the same in those cars, no matter which front ones the car had, i.e. whether the fronts were the PBR calipers or the crappy Delco-Moraine ones.
AFAIK the ONLY difference in that hose in our cars, is that 82-83 was all SAE sizes, and 85-92 is all metric sizes. 84 could be either, it changed over gradually during the year it seems, you just gotta look. Just as an FYI, I put a 91 (I think) PBR disc rear into my 83 originally drum car by successfully flaring a short piece of 6mm steel line matching the chassis end of a 89-92 hose with metric bubble flares, to ¼" SAE flare, and using a ¼" flare union to mate that to my car. Everything then bolted right up, including the 91 parking brake cables to the car's "equalizer". Has worked fine for over 25 yrs now.
No idea why the rear hose would be "listed" as different in that application. Again, if you need one, just buy the damn thing, and see if it works. Return it if not.
