1986 IROC 305 5 speed *** SOLD ***
This car is very clean, no rust.
Partially rebuilt 305 HO engine, new Jet Performance stage 2 carb, new summit 1103 cam & lifters, #416 heads completely redone, new wires, distributor, water pump, oil pump, timing chain, factory HO exhaust manifolds with factory dual catalytic exhaust (these have been hollowed out - just for show now), new cat back exhaust system, new BF Goodrich T/A tires, 3:73 rear end (not posi) with aluminum drum brakes, dual snorkle intake.
The ecm, air pump system and A/C have been removed, but I still have all the components if someone wanted to reinstall them.
I also installed a heat only fan housing unit to eliminate the clutter under the hood.
Interior is in very good condition. Dash isn't cracked, the original seats have been replaced with seats from a 1999 Camaro. The factory radio has been modified to allow an IPOD to be attached. All the gauges work with the exception of the water temp gauge which never worked correctly after I removed the ECM, so that has been replaced with an Autometer gauge.
I pulled the original numbers matching engine out and have it stored with all its componets. I was planning on eventually having it "completely" rebuilt in the future. The motor that's currently in the car is from another 1986 IROC that had only 76,000 miles on it. It's a High Output "G" vin motor with 9.5/1 compression. The car looks stock but the performance cam gives the idle a slight lope . The exhaust system is just slightly louder than stock (DynoMax cat back system)
I'm the 3rd owner of this car which I've now had for about a year and a half. The underside of the car is very clean, no noticable rust anywhere. It was rust proofed when it was new so the underbody is excellent. I only take it out on dry sunny days.
The car was repainted the original color at some point in it's life and it still looks pretty nice
I need to sell the car so that I can buy the material for to put a new roof on our house
If your interested and would like pictures please send me your email and I'll forward them to you.

Re: 1986 IROC 305 5 speed FOR SALE
I didn't know what to ask.
I have spent a lot of money on the car which I realize is my problem not yours. Just wanted to see if I got any response to the ad and possibly an offer or two.
Well I gotten a few very low offers up to now. $1,500.00, $2,000.00
So I'll tell you that what I'd like to get out of the car is around $5,000.00 which is way less than I've spent, believe me.
I went to Summit racing last night and picked up a Hurst billit shifter for it. I couldn't resist. I told myself I needed it just in case it doesn't sell. Like I said I've spent a lot of money and I'm still putting money into it. But to me it's worth it.

Looks like a nice car! Too bad it would never pass emmissions in any part of the country that tests for it, but I love 5 speed cars.
