89 Camaro $2500
Interested in trading for a 5 speed IROC/bird preferably unmoddified. I now live in Minnesota, not Missouri.



Relocated to MN
Looking to get $2500
It is an 89 hardtop RS that has had a rebuilt L98 Installed. Was a TPI, but has been converted over to a Carb. Has pocket ported Vortec heads that are fresh from the machine shop w/ 3 angle valve job. Has a knock off edelbrock air gap intake, has a 600 cfm holley carb on it, has a lunati cam in is .535 in lift/ .550 ex lift. Full roller rockers, compcams beehive springs to allow for the higher lift....
Transmission is a built 700R4. TransGo kits, Kevlar band, Koleen steels, manual/auto valve body, vette servo... etc. This thing hits. Has a Hughes converter at 3000 stall.
WS6 sway bars installed.
Car has IROC hood, tail lights and rims. (my goal was to clone an IROC and still pay RS v6 insurance)
Repainted nothing good, just a semi gloss black with stripes, not a show car, will probably want to repaint.
Leaks no oil, no tranny fluid, no rear end leaks.
Repeat: IS NO LONGER A TPI ENGINE. PM with private Email for updated pics.

AM I asking too much? or does no one want it? I am only going to leave it on here for another week, then I am just going to put new heads and a cam and paint it and keep it. I am looking for a quick sale because I have my eye on something, but once that other car is gone I will take this down.

Not being rude but that doesnt sound like a car worth 4 grand.Its got a clean interior for the most part from what I can tell, needs paint, mostly stock minus a rebuilt thirdgen motor and trans. Looks like a/c isnt hooked up. I see 91 irocs ttop great interior nice paint overall super clean low miles going for 4, usually with at least a few aftermarket suspension parts or extra creature comforts. just my .02 and im not trying to bash your sale man you just asked if it was too much

The transmission alone is worth $1800. Not to mention everything done to the engine.

Yea not trying to be a Dick either but I think your price is a bit high too. That's the bad part about these cars is that it doesn't matter how much you sink into them, your rarely ever going to get that money back out of it. Unless its pristine or has an ls swap done. I know prices vary around the USA but if its completely rust free and here in the Midwest a high price will Prolly be 3000. But most likely its in that 1800-2200 range the other guy mentioned. If you could get it painted and throw a good set of aftermarket wheels and tires on there you could Prolly get 4-5k out of it. Just my .02 also. Good luck tho! It's a good starting point for someone who wants a good project that doesn't need much money to complete!
