IROC wanted, very specific!

I'll be looking for an IROC soon, preferrebly in the NJ or southeast PA area, but will travel a bit. My needs are specific and will be hard to find, but here it goes 88-92, hardtop, auto 2.77 gear 4 wheel disc, TPI 305 or 350 doesn't matter, rollers too!

Needs to be either black, silver or white.

Solid cars only, no rust please, paint has to be in ok shape not perfect as I'm not a paint freak.

No price range as I will pay for the right car.

SFC's, properly built roll cages, rear suspension pieces as well as upgraded rears are a +!

send pics to: pdownes@comcast.net

Re: IROC wanted, very specific!

IROC's obviously weren't made in '91 - '92... if your wanting IROC only, your latest year will be '90. Also, no matter what year the car is, all factory L98 350's had rear 3:23 gears.

Re: IROC wanted, very specific!

Thanx for the input, but you are slightly incorrect.

As far as any year that had the l98 having 3.23's you are wrong. I know about the nameplate change in 91-92.

In 1987/1988/1989 350 cars came standard with 2.77 rear. I had a hardtop trans am 350 with the 2.77 9 bolt aussie rear. GM dropped the aussie rear in 1990 and the 10 bolt was used exclusively from then on. 3.42's with the lb9.

I also included the 305 in there as well, it doesn't matter to me.

So do you have a car for sale or at least a lead for me

Re: IROC wanted, very specific!

You ONLY want an auto? What about a 305/5spd/4wheel disc IROC, hardtop?

Re: IROC wanted, very specific!

Everything else can vary(305 or 350 2.77/3.27, etc.) but the auto and hardtop. I know it's specific but it needs to be an auto hardtop.

That car is for me. But I know of a gorgeous '91 Z28 L98 that's blue with white stripes and modded... just so happens to be the one in my sig. Looks like it may have to be sold to accomodate BlueZee28's IROC, well that's what BlueZee told me on the phone today, I have to sell mine to afford his.

Re: IROC wanted, very specific!

If you could send me as many pics as you have. I will be on the move this weekend handling things, but this next week If the pics interest me enough I'll shoot up and look at it.

Under the hatch area, lower quaters, fenders, etc. Anywhere you might think there is rust.

Any accidents? I would assume it's a 2.73 10 bolt correct?

And could you pm me the vin to run please.
Thanx

Pete

Re: IROC wanted, very specific!

Do you want to sell that car? I'm sitting here with an empty gargage, send me pics so I can see if it's worth the effort to travel up.

If this falls through I'm looking for a 91 or 92 white hardtop car(swap candidate).

RS or Z

Must be an auto hardtop Camaro!
