Im looking for a thousand dollar or less RUNNING V8 camaro or firebird. I want to turn it into a drag car. I have a few bucks saved up and will be a few months before i get the rest, so im hoping someone out there will be able to hold it for me. Thanks!!!

ive talked to afew people but nothing solid yet. have any pics? i only got about $200, im starting my new job this weekend, so you would have to hold it for me, i dont know if thats an option for you or not. what were you looking to get for it?

 

i payed 900 hundred for it. i'd rather not let it go for muchless. the bodys not in to bad shape. one dent on passenger side fender. does have surface rust thought. as of right now it won't start. been too damn cold to work on it either. i dont think its much. its either spark plugs or in the cap. hopefully this weekend i'll get the chance to work on it. i know you want a drag car but you'd really be better off with a 350. let me know if you still interested though. thankz

Ok, well not under 1000.00 BUT.............. It is a 1987 Formula. So has all the goodies the Formula came with. (performance suspension) and is loaded. The car has NO RUST and NO DENTS. I pulled the carpet 6 month ago and the floorboards looked like a new car. The seats are racing seats, no cheap pleather, thick leather. It was some old nasty cow, because leather is thick. It has a new engine. Needs 1 lifter and some decent heads or new heads. No pollution crap, it is a 1970 350 that was rebuilt 500 miles ago. With the crap heads it will pass my LS1. No smoke, it was built by a drag racier, it will fly. Headers, hi flow cat and flowmaster exhaust. Passed inspection, had to spend about 1000.00, but it passed. I had a job tranfer to Florida so I dont have time to screw with. As it sits 2000.00 and you are 300.00 from laying decent time at the track. It can sit at my house till you are ready. All work was done a pro garages. I am over 40 and it gets harder to fit under cars. Thats why I brought a 2002 Formula. Hate to part with it but.......
