I have a 2nd Generation 79 Z/28 and want to get a 3rd generation project in the $1,000 -$3,000 range to work on with my 16 year old son.
I'm looking for an 82 -87 Z/28 -non IROC, prefer mostly stock within driving distance of Syracuse NY.

hey I've got a 1983 Camaro Z28. There is no for sale ad because I dont have the heart to list it I guess, but there is a strong possibility that I'll sell it to you. Its Charcoal silver, and is in perfect condition, all except for this past year it was in an accident. I hit the back of a pickup truck and it crunched my front end. I have it all torn down and parts to put it back together (new left fender, used front bumper cover ((needs sanded)), used core support, headlights, a brand new radiator, and the hood is still fine, but the hatch broke off the bottom so it'd need pins if it was used, i was going to go with an SS style hood as a replacement). Like I said its in amazing condition, no one believes shes an 83. The interior is in immaculate condition as well, everything stock. I have the stock 305 in the car, but it has an edelbrock intake and edelbrock carb on it. Also it has headers on it with dynomax exhaust. I have both the stock Intake manifold as well as the stock exhaust manifolds. If your interested, the car will be yours for 2400 with all the above, or 3000 with all the above, plus a 350 that i bought for the car that also includes an edelbrock performer intake, and a 650 holley double pumper carb. I hate to think about getting rid of it, honestly hadnt crossed my mind until i saw you had an add looking for a father-son build, and I'd much rather let the car make memories in your garage rather than have her just sit in my garage waiting for me to come up with repair money. I have a 1985 Camaro Z28 with a 1968 Camaro ss 350. 350 has new heads, new .600 lift cam, new 1:6 rockers, Used turbo 350 trans, motor in good shape. Body has a few dings and scratches, i was dumb and cut a giant hole in the hood and put a interesting hood scoop on it that ended up not looking as good as i had hoped needs a little bondo or can be thrown away, interior has been gutted, rear tires are bad, I have replacement tires that will fit and are in good shape, needs shifter. Haven't tested out transmission yet, motor starts, runs and sounds great. I was looking for 3000 but I am very flexible if you come out and get it, i am in the clarkston MI area.
