Re: Looking for a 1986 Z Convertible
I don't think they made verts until 1987 unless someone had a custom job.
I saw a black 86 vert for sale at a classic car place, but the tonneau sort of looked like the bat mobile. wasn't awful.. Theres a couple decent looking ones up my way on Craigslist.
You can get a nice one for around $15k unmolested with low miles
Happy hunting!

There’s usually a few 88-89s out there if you prefer the IROC.. 87s pop up now and then.. 87 and 90 are more rare though only about 8% of IROCs produced were verts. They are all pretty rare..so you might have to travel or get it shipped to get a good one..
Good luck and let us know what you get!

I have an 96 z28 convertible special edition I believe number 39 , needs paint in some areas has a strong 88 corvette motor . I'd sell it for the right price , it's pretty rare but I don't drive it , just sits in the garage most ofvt He time
