Cool car...Seats are kind of cool. There was some NOS "CAMARO" fabric on Ebay not too long ago. Enough to do front and back seats, and the door panels, with some left over. Same color also...not sure how much it went for, but I'm sure it's pretty hard to find.

Very nice shape...if you are going to put the original wheels back on are you going to sell the ones that are on it right now? I might buy them for my wifes camaro if the price is right.

Very nice '83 CFI Z28.As stated it's uncommon to see a nice CFI car these days.Yours has about the only options my '83 doesn't in the L/S seats with the Camaro seat/door panel trim and the rear wiper. She must have spent most of her life inside as even the air cleaner has a clean crinkle finishIs she a van Nuys or Norwood car(if you don't mind me asking)?

Whats a van Nuys/Norwood car? I've never heard of that before. I'm still a noob in the world of third gens or all cars for that matter. Just learning as I go...
And thanks to all those who thinks she's as beautiful as I do

Hmm, I'll have to get back to you on that one. Would that be on the door sticker or part of the VIN? My dad looked something up about a year ago and said it was either shipped to or manufactured in California. I can't remember which though

The eleventh digit of the VIN will give build plant N - Norwood,OH and L -Van Nuys,CA.It will also be noted on the trim tag mounted top center of the radiator support(tenth digit first line).

Re: My bone stock 83 Z
That's cool she's a Van Nuys build like my '83.If you look on the trim tag it will give you the build date on the first line. The first letter should be D for model year - 1983,next two numbers will be build month, and the next letter will be the build week.I'm just curious how close yours was built to mine.I hope you don't mind all the questions.
The trim tag also gives series(car line),body style,build plant,sequential part of VIN,interior color code/type,seat type/style(should be AQ9 in your case),exterior color code(upper and lower),paint type,CC1 for T-tops(since yours has them).
The last line is for interior codes for type of trim used(door panels and other trim).Wildjeff has a better explanation of them.

Re: My bone stock 83 Z
I went out and bought my tires today and put my stock wheels back on! After seeing it like that again, I can't understand why I took them off in the first place. She handles so much better with the regular size tires. I'll get some pics up after I wash everything and do what I can polish the old wheels up.
My wheels have some chips and a little but of curb grindage in places. How much does it generally cost to have a set of early Z28 wheels refinished?

Re: My bone stock 83 Z
There we go. These shots are missing the new center caps I got the other day. I know a lot of people think the early Z wheels are ugly but I think they go quite well with the car.
That second pic shows the fugly dent on the quarter panel that I've been hiding from you guys.
It was like that when I got it, kinda looks like they tried to hammer it out. But like everything else the PO did, it was **** poor and half ***ed.
