I bought my car in Jan last year. If that car was available then I would have bought it in a second. I have been watching it in the auto trader for a while.
So does it kick butt with that 6 speed or what?

Nope, living this far north we have to take some chances. I did however get it appraised and inspected. Here's the deal. The motor was rebuilt from oil pan up, transmission and rear end are new, approx. 5000km on the drive train. New paint, shaved door locks with the pop actuators. (Not sure what they are called.) The appraisal came out to 15,000.00 for the drive train, 30,000 to build the car. So for 7700.00 it was hard to let it go.
Holden Rear End, 5.7 with Edelbrock Fuel Injection and Aluminum Heads, Viper Spec 6SPD Tranny. I am new to the Chevy scene so I am not sure what all this adds up to in spec's but I was willing to take the risk.

So I have got the car finally. The 6 Spd trans is pretty impressive. The Edelbrock fuel injection I am sure would be if I could only figure out how to
tune the dam thing. Dynamax Exhaust is ok but I am Flowmaster fan. The body is pretty messed up though, dents and dings everywhere. The paint looks like it was done by a 4 year old kid. The car was a burgundy, then pink go figure, now of course Green. The color wouldn't be so bad if they hadn't done such a crap job on it. So I guess I am hunting for a good body shop and someone who can tune this thing as I am a little ignorant when it comes to playing with the fuel and spark managment.
Here are a few pic's.

Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining about the price I paid. The body was made out to be better than it was though. "Just needs Paint". But as a brother of mine put it there are three things when buying an old car, Drive Train, Body and Interior and you will get one or two out of the three. So I got 1 out of three and for the price I paid its a good start.

That paint is getting bad, hopefully you don't need alot of body work. I did a search on the net after I bought it and found the guy who was selling it.

I wanted to talk to him to get some background on it but his cell is out of service.

Roller Paint
Hey Jtufts, I know a guy who painted his farm trucks with a paint brush. From a distance it didn't look to bad. Hahahahaha
