Im not sure im in Victoria anymore???

its snowing in the lower mainland and vancouver island. that means that a daily driven camaro like mine is useless in this weather. my Zrated tires arent even good in wet weather. im not impressed with this weather, this is the kind of weather that calgary gets...random snow...

rant over

Ya I think we are going to have to give it back
Long range forecast shows snowmobiling weather coming
And the body shops are going to go under if they don’t get some business soon
And the guy on the news said our frog population is going to be hit hard because they are confused from the weather?
how do the frogs cope in bc?
So were going to keep it for a couple more days then give it back
But the government is saving millions on snow removal and they say there going to give us all a large tax brake because of it (Ya right)

ya we got our sun back, its shiny and 10* out here this morning and it looks good for the next 2 weeks. the news here doesnt talk about frogs so i guess thers no problem. biggest problem the lower mainland had from all this was stanley park got pounded, thousands of trees have fallen, making the park look more bare from the air. the trees fell on vehicles, took down powerlines, blocked roads. that park is partially closed because there are so many trees down and 2 days ago there was another storm. this weather is @#$%&*.

The weather has been pretty looney in the Greater Vancouver area this year.
Stanley park has been given a beating from the last 3 storms. BC Place dome is deflated, after a huge tear in the dome. Poor hydro workers having to fix power every two weeks for 10's of thousands of people. Cities woefully unprepared for the amount of snow we get in a short period of time, can't clear enough roads. Traffic is like a parking lot any time it snows.

People think that having 5 year old all season tires will still get their cars around in the snow. More people who just moved from back east thinking they can drive as easily on the snow here as they did back home, sliding off into ditches because it isn't the same type of snow. ( I lived in Winnipeg for a while and drove in the snow there. completely different.) Here, it is 3 inches of powder on top of 2 inches of ice. Traffic lights and stop signs at the top of hills. It has been a long time since i have seen this much snow in this area. Not to mention the massive amount of wind and rain we have been getting on the days it doesn't snow.

I have been driving my firebird in this stuff, and only been temporarily stuck 3 times. usually because of the uneven snow pack which has one of my rear tires off of the ground.

All in all, it has been a fun time in BC this year. I look forward to the end of winter when we just get copious amounts of rain instead. Then we can have the extra hot summer where the Government starts telling us to conserve water because of all the shortage possibilities. Retards.

I don't know about global warming, but the weather sure seems to be a little different over the past couple of years, We have been getting hotter summers, colder winters, same amount of rain but the rain all seems to fall in shorter time frames compared to weeks on end of medium amounts of rain, now we get a week of torrential downpour. Maybe the russians have finished building their weather controlling machine and are testing it out on us.

With the weather we have had here in Ont, it has made working in the garage on the winter projects a little easier....I can have the garage door open to let some natural light in.
That's all changed now - Old man winter is knocking on the door and someone let him in
