Keep Blowing fuses
I put in two 12" Alpine Type R's last weekend with a US ACoustics 450 watt amp. I have a problem, a couple of times when I turn it way up, the fuseable link in the power wire burns out. This doesn't happen all of the time when I turn it way up, just twice. I went with a 10-amp and then a 15. What is the problem here?

I have 8 guage rockford wire with a fuseable link directly from the battery to the amp.
BE VERY CAREFUL!!!!
The fuse at the battery protects your car and you, never, I repeat never use a fuse bigger than the wire guage is rated at, you can get this info from IASCA, this could be a life or death issue. Next the fuse at your equipment is to protect your equipment, never use a fuse bigger than the manufacture recomends, if the propper size fuse is blowing something is wrong. Now what size fuse did you amp come with. Don't hesitate to email me if you have more questions, listed below.

The problem is you're trying to push subs with an amp that's got a 10 amp maximum rating.
That's sort of equivalent to powering a Bus with a 3 cylinder Suzuki motor from a Metro and wondering why you can't make it up a hill.
