I had one on my 96 Z28 and didnt have any problems with it. But I mainly bought it because my buddy worked at the shop and gave me a killer deal on it so I didnt have a chance to really compare it to others.

The pager is nice only for if you sleeping or in a restruant or something, other than that, its just a waste of space in the pocket...

you also kinda have to think.. what exactly do you plan on doing if the pager goes off? are you prepared to confront a potentially armed thief, who's either trapped inside your car or looking to get away however possible? i considered getting a pager alarm, but being 5'10" and weighing in at like 135.. what would i do if it went off, honestly? call the police? thief'll be long gone by the time the cops roll around.. if you're 6'5", 300 lbs, and have a crowbar next to your bed.. a pager might work out alright for you

when my car was broken into last, there was someone sleeping in the car next to mine and he was to affraid to stop them or try anything so he said he pretended to sleep......... 7,500 dollars in damage....another lump some invested times the many, many hours i have worked to make my car mine again. i definately want to know what's going on with it; if you drive them at all no matter what eventually you may have to leave it for a second. it pays to know.....literally.

i've got a few other things that work well for my camaro, better than any pager could ever do. but even for my other cars i would like to know what's going on with them........i'm not going through the same routine.

as far as worring about the "person/persons" that might try......well my rott got tired of sleeping in the car when i had to leave it. .if your willing to mess with something that's mine, you better be prepared to back up your actions; because i will.

so no one actually has one?

I bought my Viper in '94, back when the pager was the size of a cordless phone handset- so I didn't buy the pager.
