Hello, I have an Alpine 7894. It has a built in 60x4 Amp. Now, would it be worth it for me to just use that built in amp and just buy an amp for 2 subs or should I buy a 50x4 serparate amp? Please give me your opinions because I dont have much money to play with.

I find it better to run the speakers on a 4 channel amp a lot clearer than running off the HU.

1) Headunits powerratings are at max, so 55 watts max is usually 20-25 constantly. Amps are a bit higher.

2) have a full amp with capacitors and seperate sound boards, or a amp thats in the form of a microchip???

3) don't have to reset everything whenever i disconnect the battery.

Just a few things ... but its whatever your willing to spend on it.
