quick question on REZN8R/DJSexay kicks

i might be interested in a pair in a month or so... but im lookin ginto two component sets: both Image Dynamics Chameleon sets, i cant decide whether i want the 5.25" drivers, or the 7" drivers...

are these kicks capable of holding a 7" midbass driver? they are friggen huge, really deep mounting space too, almost positive its 3", in a search i read there is 3 inches of space behind the kick panel if i sealed it off, im not sure though.. kind of confused me, can anyone clarify this? just want to know if these speakers will fit, if they arent then ill get the 5.25"ers since ive heard awesome stuff about both.

thanks

well i can't vouch for either of them...but i vaguely remember reading that the largest you could fit was 6.5 components....however don't quote me on that as I don't make them. REZN8R is gone for a few more days I believe - - think he's getting back around july 1 or earlier.
5.25's fit very nicely in them...check out my page for pics of them

6.5 are pretty much it.

The mold wold have to be much larger to fit a 7.
The way it is, you are squeesing the 6.5 in.

aahh i see, yea i think im going to stick with 5.25 inch sets... i dont think ill be dissapointed from the output. ive been leaning more towards them, since they are rated at 100watts rms, and the 7"'s are at 150 rms, and now i can stick with the amp i was originally getting since its closer to the ratings of the 5.25... and i didnt want to underpower the 7" components, or get a more expensive amp and not use all the power since my rear speakers arent rated over 100. sweet info, thanks a lot guys

o yea... the red trans am up there a few posts on top of this, i cant find the pics on your website, what link are they under?

that looks sweet as he11 dude, nice job, one thing im confused about is... do you factory kick panels stay in place, and those go over them.. so its like a sealed enclosure kind of? of do those fully replace the stock panels? the question is prolly stupid but what can i say... im confused haha

they completely replace the stock kick panels..... just remove the 2 or 3 screws and slide these into place.
