Mounting Location...
I was wondering about relocating my amp to the bottom of the well (where the t-tops would go)! Has anyone done this? Can i see pics? I had a water problem in there before ( like 3" of water laying in there) but hasn't done it again. I hate having them laying right behind the back seat. I have my subs mounted to a board then just wedged down in there real tight! I just wanna clean it up a lil without getting into to much work!! any thought or suggest???? thanks guys!!!!!
you talkin bout putting the amps underneath your sub box? the amps need air circulation, or they'll overheat.. or else they'll run really hot and their life span will be drastically shortened...

I managed to mount 2 on a board and place them in the compartment left of the well, where the little locked hatch is. Nice and cool in there!

Si, do you have any pics of that? Seems like that would be some work to do, which at the moment i have enough projects underway! I never thought of them getting air circulation....stupid me! I'm just sick of them where they are now, looks like poop!!

thats where i am puting mine at (down in the well)
but im using a boox instead of a baffle board so they will be able to have circulation
they have to have circulation or they will overheat
i actually got mine to over heat evenwith circulation (running at one ohm is he!! on amps

Mine have enough air, I cut slits in the board behind the amps, and even fitted little 12v fans (from socket 7 CPUs from old PCs) just in case.
No, it didn't take much work at all...couple of bolts to stop the whole thing crashing about back there. I don't have that dumb box thing in there any more, just the door to hide it all.
Would show you a pic or two, but my web provider has stopped hyperlinks to non-HTML files. Bastards!
