I think it's great. Car looses a little functionality though.

you mean the amps? It took a day basically for the building of the sub box and doing the seat. But like i stated its not done yet, i have to take it apart to wire the other amp in, hid the wires and pad the front. Other than that it was easy to just cut it with a jig saw. If you need to know in detail then shoot me a email or PM.
Later, Tim

i'm doing the same things with my amp(s) and my back seat. no time right now due to working full time, dropping in a new engine (finished building it up a couple weeks ago), and rebuilding my tranny. it really wasnt too hard to do everything, just need to make a few measurements

Well, people will break into a car for the assuption that a radio will be able to be stolen. Think about it ...
1) I have a car with a paint job that will grab attention.
2) My back window is tinted so you cant look inside and not see a sub box if it was in the well, let alone the amps.
3) so the worst they will do is cause damage to it

My friend before he got a apt. in my town, lived in philly for a bit. He has a white 88 Civic DX hatchback (only mod is a cold air intake) with 5% tint. He only had a cheap headunit with only front speakers at the time before I totally redid his system.
Heres a link to it
Came outside one morning to find everything in his glove box torn out and thrown onto his seat, he had the faceplate in his house luckily, passenger and rear hatch lock drilled out, and his $5 pair of sunglasses stolen. They thought he had a something a little more valuable in it.

So, point being that they will still break in, just wont be able to take anything. And Logikal, thanx for the props and it does sound great. I had the car for 18 months now, but been on the boards for only 13 ..

4 Alpine Type R 12" DVC subs.
2 RockFord Fosgate Punch 500a2 amps.
1 1 Farad capacitor
Cerwin Vega Stealth 4X6 and 6X9 speakers
1 Rockford Fosgate Punch 250a2
Alpine Head unit(do not remember model number...it was crap though! I will never buy an Alpine head unit again!!)

I designed, built and installed this system for competition. I did not make it to comp with the system shown before someone bought it off of me. I believe they are still running the set-up for competition use.

You're right, it's not much. But it sounds damn good.

I helped him set it up. He did all the work himself though. All I did was give a or :nono: on his choices.

BTW... Just had to get that trophy in the pic didn't ya!!! FYI guys, that trophy isn't for his system. It's a bowling trophy of his dads. Just kidding. He got it for "Project Car" 'cause it looks like it came from the projects!!!

You can look at mine in my link below. It's on the third page. That's not the sub I now have, and it's not inverted like that, but it's in the same spot and now the box is ported.

With that sub there (MTX Thunder3000 12" 8 ohm) I hit 135.5dB on the SPL meter.

All i've got is a stereo from a 98 Impala, for now. The stereo is the last improvement to make, when all the other work is done, short of dropping in the 350.
