im having my girlfriend take the pictures and she misses me droping it the first time. so i take it back up and try it again. she takes it this time but its on the ground by the time the camera gets it. she decides she rather me take the picture so she goes up on the roof (she was scared ****less by the way). so here it is...

here is the damage of the 3 drops...

the first pic is of the scuff mark on the side, its barely noticable in the pic and not much more noticable close up.

the second is the only other damage on the box that i could see. its very hard to see in the pic so ill tell you its grass and dirt stains (it WAS going approximately around 8 mph when it hit, im good w/ physics).

well, I must say, not many people would go this far to prove how good their product is. I have a box already in my car, but hey, you've got my support.

That's Amazing....

I still plan on buying a box, but the money situation got tight because of an unforseen expense(brakes) so i need to hold off.......

I WILL be buying a box here soon, that experiment just makes my decision final....

it weighs 45 lbs, give or take a pound or 2. i cant promise that they would survive a rearending but im sure they could take more pounding than our rear bumbers .

See if that was my G/F (actually my wife ) I would have made sure she was under the box when I dropped it.

The reason is because her head is harder than anything you have to drop it on!!!!!! :lala:

I wanna see you drop that same box on CONCRETE!!!!

If you do that, maybe I'll buy it from you just because.

hahaha... I dont see that proves how much better a hatch sub box will be seeing as how everyone knows an mdf box would break. But it would definately be worth seeing/doing if it was a vid

sorry its been so long. i am contimplating doing it just for the hell of it. problem is i dont have anything along the lines of a video camera to tape it. if i find something i may just do it and send it to the home page. that would be awesome.

thanks,
jacob

p.s. You guys are funny. thanks for looking. and anybody has some suggestions about getting it tape, tell me. i may just do it.

Pics like you did before would be fine.

Actually a "mid air" pic like you did with your g/f dropping it are just as good as a video tape. As long as you back up enough to see it leaving the roof, and that there is concrete under it. And YOU do it. Wouldn't want to hear about her breaking something, and the box being OK!!!!

DO IT!!!!! DO IT!!!!!! DO IT!!!!!!!

No way man a vid camera is the only way to go. A pic would be ok but it would be a waste of a perfectly good, nicely designed, strong (as we saw above ). With a camera you will get to see some some boom smash footage, get to hear a nice crunch, you would get the gf screaming and you laughing. That would be awesome. Just try and find someone around with a camera. Makes me wish I needed to buy a box... Atleast I would be giving the doe to someone whos a true subwoofer box structural integrity fan.
greg

EDIT: bonus points if you light it on fire before the drop!

i think i'll shy away from lighting it on fire, but I'd still like to try it with the video camera.

You could say "ill have to find a rice one" but then it's a redundant statment. :sillylol:

Hey Tamu,
Usually Digital Cameras have a function to video tape for a little bit. I don't know if yours does or if you even have one but that is just a thought

K I have a new Idea. You have to Ride the box in the air while it flies to the ground. If it dosnt break when you land on it. I might buy one.

ok, yeah, im not selling boxes anymore .

if anybody want the one i dropped u can have it for $80 as is. if u want me to put on a new top piece then $85. there really isnt any damage on the rest of the box and the grass stains would not be visible when it is in your car.

jacob

p.s. and no i will not drop everyones boxes off the roof to save u 10 bucks.

No offence man but business? Man thats a rip! I can search google.com for the measurements. Or I can go out to my car and measure it myself. Geeze what are you thinking keep making the boxes and put them on ebay or something. Now that would be a good idea.

i dont think u understood what i meant. i keep having people ask for the measurements. if someone doesnt want one of my boxes thats fine but i can not just give away the measurements. i am stil making boxes if anyone was confused on the matter. i dont want to give anyone the measurements cause that defeats the purpose of selling them to you guys.

thanks,
jacob

45 is steep for measurements but when you look at it from his view he is loosing a sale more or less. Definately try ebay you should have no problem selling them for $90 there.

And if you pour some gas in your *demo* box, light it up, drop it off a roof on tape I will personally do everything I can do to endorse your box and spread the word. hell I will even make you a webpage!

OK sorry guys, but not to just jump in someones conversation or start a flame but...this just popped in my mind with the last few replys on selling the measurements....

Say Coca-Cola comes out with a new style of bottle for there drinks that REALLY attratices the public and raises profit....

And Pepsi wants to increase profit also, do u think Pepsi is just gonna e-mail Coke up and be like...'Sup Dawg, think u could tell me the measurments of that new tight bottle so i could make one bc i can't afford to buy your bottles and fill them...its cheaper to make them YO!" (sorry had to through the ***** slang in there)

I don't think Coke would be to Kosher with that Idea, it'd defeat the purpose.

Not saying that your gonna try to sell his boxes...

But thats Just how business works myfriend...

But ya thats what I was getting at. Just cause someone asks he doesnt have to be all buddy buddy and fork over the measurements. I wouldnt...
