What do I do with this?
I am wanting to pull my factory speakers outta the sail panels and replace them with better ones. I removed one of them and there was this connector connected to the speaker, do I cut it and then just wire it up the other speakers? How will I know what wire is what? or do they make a connector for the new speakers so then I can still use this? I am going to buy some new ones tomorrow...HELP!!!!

cut n splice, .....grab a voltmeter *multimeter* and figure out whats pos and whats neg. not that it matter a whole lot, ...even wired backwards itll work
if you plan on ever putting the factory speakers back in, cut it to where you have enough slack to wire the harness back on .....easy simple fun, do it to it. if you need help putting 4 12's in the back of a camaro and keeping the rear seats , ....i can do that too lmao

They make connectors that plug into the stock harness. Places like Best Buy should stock them.
to hell with the harness, thats money wasted, ...cut n splice my boy, ..cut n splice.....prolly be harder finding the damn harness than actually cutting the wires....just cut the @#$%ING wires!! lol.....

I cut and spliced when i put some pioneer 6x9's in there they sound great and i shoved all the splicing behind the speaker so it looks really good even though the interior panel will cover it

thanks by the way, RJ..

this is what I did and it works amazingly and you don't need to cut anything....
I ripped the other connector off of my old stock speaker adn tehn I got two other speaker wires taht I had lying around and cut them so they were about 10 inches long... tehn I soldered the wires to the old connecter that was on the stock speaker, then I wrapped the other end of the wire around the terminals of my new speakers then I went to my car and pushed in the connector to teh other connector, installed the speaker and POW it worked...
And you don't ned to worry about ripping anything apart (accept for the ****ty stock speakers.

cut & splice sucks. That wire is short enough already. You can buy little t-connectors that you connect to individual wires (under the plastic sheath), then plug a male quick-disconnect terminal into. clean and effective, and you can easily put the stock speakers back in at any time.
t-connector:

Disconnect that plugs into it:

The connector that you are looking for is sold by Crutchfield. Just give them a call and say you need the rear speaker harness/connectors for an 87 IROC (or whatever car you have) and they will send them to you in a couple days. It was like $5-10 for the pair w/shipping. All it does is plug into that connector and then connects to your new speakers. It will save you from cutting and splicing and working with those dinky a$$ stubby wires.

Just remember which wire is which when you wire the new speakers in. .... Make sure that the neg. is with the neg. and pos. with the pos. on both sides....
Otherwise the speakers will be out of phase and not give the same sound quality.......
Like other people have said, you can also wire the pos. to neg. and neg. to pos. Just as long as it is the same on both sides of the car, so pay attention!!!
Cutting and splicing sucks, but it works for less than 10 bucks!
