Soundstorm Labs makes a decent CD player for about $100 new. They only place you can usually find them is on ebay or a few web sites, like huggmeister.com. I have their higher end model, which was only like $120 shipped or something. It skips once in a while, but not nearly as bad as an Aiwa or other really crappy headunit.

Roadgear from wal-mart....60 bucks give or take 20 bucks. Dad has one in his 91 Ford, sometimes it works, sometimes it don't. Sometimes it will play burnt CDs, sometimes it wont. Ours used to not play them, then someone tryed to steal it, but didnt get it. After they tried that it would play any cd perfectly. Would skip burnt cds on the littlest pebble on the road, and sometimes when u were parked but the night I jumped 4 lane highway at 110 in the truck it didnt skip when we landed. Dont buy it.
