Kenwood head unit

I just bought a Kenwood Excelon from a kid for $80. After I get home I hooked it up and it requests a security code. I was wondering if anyone knows what to do? Is there a way around it or a way to reset it. I haven't talked to the kid so I hope if there is nothing I can do I might get my money back.
