Now i didnt put the old amp in it came with the car, so how do i ge this one to work. I know where the ground goes and the rem and the power wire goes but it also has 2 wires for "high input levels" are those for my speakers? I know where my sub wires go but, there isnt any thing like it on my old amp. Are those wires to amp my speakers or something else? Thanks for your help!

Those are made so you can hook up the amp to the speaker outputs of a head unit that doesn't have RCA outputs (like the stock radio).

If you have RCA cables, then don't worry about them. If your head unit doesn't have RCA outs, then you'll need to use them so the amp gats a signal FROM the head unit.

I think that the kid might have already done this. Not sure though. I know where the remote wire is coming from my cd deck but i also have these 2 blue big wires like 4 guage wires. Bigger than the power wire. Are these them? Thanks

well they are kinda. ANYWAY i got all the crap hooked up and it wont turn on! I hooked up the power wire the ground, and my remote wire {previous owner must have just twisted it on} came undone. The wire is way behind my back seat and there is no way i can get to it. So i have a toggle switch that i installed so i could turn the amp off. but now it wont even turn on. No led lights nothing. I am looking at the owners manual and i think i have every thing hooked up. everything is in the right place.
my old amp was a Clarion pro audio apa 4100 mofset 25x4 amp. Liek i said 100 watts. the amp i got now is a legacy red series 2 la470 amp. Any ideas? All the power wires are correct and everything is fine except for the remote wire. But my other amp was fine without the remote. Any ideas? Thanks!

In my beginning stages of car audio, I had good experiences with Legacy amps. I had an LA590 800 Watt 2-channel 2 ohm stable amp, hooekd up two 12" DVC 4 ohm HED Vegas up to it, turned the power up and never once shut off.

Can you get a picture of your wires and how you have them on your amp? That might help a bit. As far as I know, you have to HAVE the REM wire to get the amp to turn on.

sorry, i dont have a digital camera Where is the rem wire? I have put all the wires i have in every port. My headset wires are in the appropriate ports, the power wire is in the volt slot, the ground is on the only thing that isnt is the remote but like i said it shouldnt make a difference because i have a kill switch, so i can send power to the amp without the car being on. THe remote bass boost is in. Hold UP NO I DONT HAVE THE REM WIRE IN. DOSENT THAT STAND FOR REMOTE? All the sub wires are on correctly. I havent touched the gaincontrols or anyof those buttons like bass boost low pass hi pass, I shouldnt need the high level inputs because i already have the head set audio outputs on there. The remote wire snapped and it went behind my rear seat some place? I cant really get to it. ANYbody have a g-bodie and know how to get there back seat out? Thanks!
