Since you already have the reference line in the back, I would stick with that for the front and get plates if possible.

Which one are "plates"? number 1 and 2?

Also, seeing that number 1 has an offset magnet, are theses the ones that people have touble getting to fit? Does number 1 produce a better sound than say the other 2 and 3? Because of the tweeter being seprate?

the plates will give you a little bit better bass. still w/ that small of speaker you won't get to much in the first place though.

#1 is a plate, 2 & 3 are coax. The round mid will give clearer sound.

I hjave the #1 and yes they dont fit. You need to sort of elevate them like 1/8 inch with some washers or somehting to get them to workl. They sound alright. they are infinitys but i would defiantly not buy them, the second time around becuase i would buy kicks and components instead. Your probably paying 150 for those? Wlel just save another 150 and get the kicks and take that 150 and buy some components. Itll be a WHOLE ot better than that. Its just i have an amp powering my infinitys 6x9s and my sub and it makes the sound seem not a s clear when i turn it way up. :hail: Kicks w/ Infinitys:hail: :hail:

how is it they dont fit? the depth or the way they fit into the speaker pods?

Here are mine.....if you had to put washers in to raise them up then I guess it was the depth?

Im sure "kicks" are better but I dont have the money for the kick panels and the speakers components. So I'll just have to do with your basic "infinity" plates.....I juat want to know which ones fit without any mods to my pods and which ones are the 'best" for the money as far as sound.

Yeah, go with the plates (#1). They don't fit completely because of the mounting depth, so if you can get some simple washers from Home Depot or a hardware store, you can raise up those mounting brackets a bit. I have some deep-mount 4x6s and I just left two of the bolts off. It doesn't move around with the dash pad on, so I'm not worried.

Hey sorryI haven't been on in a while...

Yeah I have the same exact brackets as you do, but unfortunately no pictures. The speakers I have are 4x6 SoundStorm Labs 2-ways. Their mounting depth is pretty deep; it fits fine on the passenger side, but there's less room on the driver's side. The bracket didn't sit flush down with the speakers instaled, so I put in as many bolts as I could and left the rest out. The dashpad fit back on fine, and it doesn't rattle or anything. The same thing should work fine for you.
