low volume.....subs kick off...wtf!!?
ok i posted about this a while ago and someone suggested that i should replace the power cable becuz it's probably not strong enough.......well the other day i replaced my 10gauge wire with a 4 gauge.........but the problem still didnt go away..........is there anyway it could be my RCA cables or remote wire?.........or could it just be my headunit........my headunit is sony xplod model CDX-7000X
are they set to some kind of auto-on based on signal strength? they may not get the required voltage to detect an audio signal at low volumes. can you turn down the amplification but increase the deck's sub output levels? (that'd keep the sound the same but fix a signal level problem, if that's it)

i was gonna say maybe it's not a problem with the wireing or the head unit i might just be the type of amp your running.
turn up the "sub volume" or "sub output level" or "sub output voltage" on the deck. then turn down the volume on the amp accordingly.
i can't tell you exactly how to change the levels, it depends on the deck. read the manuals...

im almost POSITIVE it's the head unit........it did it on my old MTX amp with the 10 gauge wire......and still now with the 760watt Xplod amp with 4 gauge wire..........do you think there is anyway i could have the head unit worked on where they could fix it...........and as for all the tuning........i also bought this cd player just becuz of the sub output control and i have tried messing with it at all different levels...........still the same..........
Sorry to tell you, but for the year I had that deck had to bring it in for service 2 times. I never bought the extended warrenty with it but there is a sony repair station near me so I just brought it there and said it should be covered under the manufacuter warrenty and they fixed it with no problem. But when when warrenty runs out you are screwed, There was another guy in line with me at the time I brought in my cd player. He had an old sxhool tape deck, and one onf the ***** broke, they want $100 plus parts to fix it. What a scam. Than I
