Hey Jim, I was looking at some old posts about you trying to decide what CD player to buy. You wanted something simple, with decent features, with good sound quality. I was just wondering what you ended up buying? I myself have a JVC KD SH77 and I must say I am very pleased with it. The only complaint I have is that its been really cold here lately, and before the car warms up the display on the CD player, when it scrolls, isnt the best. Besideds that, I love it. Does anyone else have one of these? Also I was wondering if others could post what kind of CD player they have, and what their likes and dislikes are. I like keeping up on all the new stuff, and reading reviews about it. Thanks alot.

I haven't bought anything yet. I'm waiting for more info on JVC's 2003 Digifine line. From what I've seen so far, I'm not impressed with what I see, so I'm probably going to buy an SH 909. I'd hoped that JVC would be happy with the sucess of their Digifine stuff and leave it the hell alone, but so far from what I've seen they tarted it up with a full-color display and a bunch of other useless bullsh*t that I'm not going to pay for.

Here's a press-release pic I found of their flagship Digifine 2.3 deck:

Yup. Looks like I'll be picking up a 909.

what was nice about the 99 and 909 was they were great decks that were very simple looking. not cheap, just not "busy". very slick and professional. that '03 just has too much going on for me. i'll agree with the 909 as my pick.
yeah..... Im not so sure Im too fond of that new line. I like mine alot, I like the looks and all. It just seems like they are going to go overboard. I like the ones like mine because they are simple yet they have all you need ya know.
