personally, i like sealed boxes better.

But I have to agree: I prefer sealed boxes for several reasons... not the least of which being their edge in sound quality and generally much smaller volume requirements.

and maybe "punchier" wasn't the best word, but you get the point.

This example in their "Wiring Subwoofers" section is wrong.

To figure Impedance:
(Ohms of subwoofer x #
of subwoofers (per set in series)) /
# of sets paralleled = Load
ex. (4 ohms x 2 subs)/2 = 8 ohms
They're using the correct formula, however their math is wrong. The total load would equal 4 ohms.
I emailed them about this so they can correct it, and possibly have fewer customers complaining they wired their subs that way, and it sounds like POOP!!!!!!

Just wanted to inform anyone who may go to that sight and think it's correct.

If you're relatively new to box making, I'd recommend the sealed. There's a lot more room for error with regards to airspace. Couple that with the fact that there isn't a lot of room in a 3rd gen anyway and common sense would tell you that sealed is the better way to go (ported boxes need more air).

Ya 10"s will fit easy. I made a custom box to fit in the rear well and it sits flush with the top of the hump. The t-tops mount perfectly and I'm running 2 12" Fosgate Punch XLC's. My amp is mounted in the spare tire area. An 800W American Legacy. Sounds pretty damn good.
